Overnight Camel Trek & Desert Camp in Erg Chebbi, Merzouga
Why go?
Live the Sahara the traditional way: in the late afternoon you leave Merzouga on camelback and follow your camel guide deep into the golden dunes of Erg Chebbi, the highest sand sea in Morocco.
Watch the sun set from the top of a dune, try sandboarding, then settle into your tent in a Berber camp. Dinner is a tagine shared around the table, followed by drums and songs around the fire under a sky full of stars.
Wake up early for the sunrise over the dunes, enjoy breakfast at the camp and ride back to Merzouga by camel (or by 4x4 if you prefer). Standard and luxury tents are available.

- Camel ride into the Erg Chebbi dunes, one camel per person.
- Sunset and sunrise from the top of the dunes.
- Sandboarding on the dunes.
- Tagine dinner, Berber drums and campfire under the stars.
