Half-Day 4x4 Desert Safari around Merzouga
Why go?
Discover the desert around Merzouga in a comfortable 4x4 with a local driver-guide who knows every track. In about four hours you go around the Erg Chebbi dunes and see the oases, villages and people that make this part of the Sahara so special.
You visit the palm grove of Hassi Labied and its traditional irrigation channels, listen to Gnawa musicians in the village of Khamlia, stop by a nomad family and, after the rains, the seasonal lake of Merzouga where flamingos sometimes gather.
A great way to understand the desert and its culture if you only have half a day, with hotel pickup and a traditional lunch included.
