Merzouga Desert is one of the most famous destinations in the Sahara Desert Morocco, known for the golden Erg Chebbi dunes, camel trekking, desert camps, quad biking, buggy tours, and unforgettable sunrise and sunset views. It is a perfect place for travelers who want to enjoy authentic Merzouga desert tours and experience the peaceful beauty of the Moroccan Sahara.
The best time to visit Merzouga is from March to May and from September to November, when the weather is warm, pleasant, and comfortable for desert activities. During these months, visitors can enjoy camel rides, Sahara Desert excursions, 4×4 tours, sandboarding, and nights in a Merzouga desert camp without the extreme heat of summer.
Winter, from December to February, is also a good season to visit Merzouga Desert, especially for travelers who prefer cooler days and quiet desert landscapes. The days are usually sunny, but nights can be cold in the Sahara. Summer, from June to August, is very hot, so Merzouga activities are better planned early in the morning or late in the afternoon.
